FASHION: Block Heel Mules

So you have probably seen my post on Instagram showing off my new purchase…my gorgeous gold block heeled black suedette mules. They arrived yesterday so I had to wear them for my lunch date today, which by the way was my first dose of birthday celebrations for my impending big day.

My friend took me to Bourgee for lunch for an afternoon tea with a twist; ‘Tea on the Lawn’. It made such a pleasant change to the traditional sandwiches and scones. Bourgee is know for its steak and lobster so in true Bourgee style we had toasted open lobster bagels, brioche topped with steak and caramelised onions, sausage rolls in shortcrust pastry, mini doughnuts covered in cinnamon and sugar, ¬†caramelised fruit skewers and dipping sauces and a yummy portion of cake. The cocktails were delicious too! Check out the restaurant at

So in my new frayed jeans (available in my SHOP tab) and an old tshirt, I flung on my sleeveless Zara white jacket and my new mules. I love these sleeveless jackets as they really dress an outfit up, making my simple jeans and tshirt look like I’d made a real effort. My black faux fur bag is old but from River Island.

My mules are super comfy! I think they are going to be really versatile so I might just have to buy the orange ones. The gold block heel gives them a ‘designer’ edge. Its hard to believe they only cost ¬£22.99. They also do them in a leather version for ¬£39.99. Get them before it’s too late via my SHOP tab.
