As the seasons change so too does the contents of our wardrobes. As the weather starts to warm up (in an ideal world), we can begin to shake of the heavier layers and swap the big coats for light weight jackets. I won’t be putting away my chunky knits just yet though. The mornings are still crisp and I’ve been popping a jumper on with jeans and sneakers for the school run.
I don’t know about you but I get bored of wearing the same style of jeans day in day out. There’s a great variety of jeans on the market now with lots of different details. I like to mix it up a bit so this Spring I’ve been investing in skirts like this one from @Silkfred that I can wear during the day and evening.
I also like to have a pair of faux leather leggings to reach for too. They can be great with trainers for the daytime and instantly dressed up with heels.
Make sure you’re stocked up on plain T- shirts. I like them oversized and in a mix of colours. Great for everyday but add a blazer for a really chic look to take you through to the evening.
My wardrobe is anything but capsule but my shopping habits have certainly changed. The biggest thing I look for when shopping is versatility. As I mentioned above I love something I can get more than one look from and team with a number of different items to create different styles. This also makes a great cost per wear. The top I’m wearing here is actually a dress but I’m showing you two different looks in this post using it as a top. As a dress I would wear it with hi-top converse, heels or thigh high boots.
